Registration open for student drama programs

Registration Open Now for K-12 Drama Classes

Dramaworks theatre education programs for youth are now enrolling students for the fall semester.  The Magic Beanstalk Players, drama for K-6th grade students, and the SWEET Program, drama for 7-12th grade students, will start classes the last week of August.

The goal of the Magic Beanstalk Players Program is to provide a supportive space where students can learn new skills, work together, be creative, and gain confidence.  The fall semester focuses on drama skills such a characterization, improvisation, stage presence, story-telling, voice control and movement.  The fall semester culminates in a small performance for families displaying what they’ve learned.  Throughout the spring semester, students utilize their drama skills to rehearse and perform a full musical production.

Dramaworks is excited to announce that the SWEET program has been re-imagined as a drama program for teens.  SWEET stands for Sierra West End Educational Theatre.  Students will strengthen their acting skills through acting exercises, ensemble work, monologues, and scene work. Students will work together to rehearse and perform theatrical productions, and collaborate on projects focused on self-exploration to encourage expansion of performance ranges.

Kids shine at the West End Theatre!  Visit the Magic Beanstalk Player page or SWEET page to register your student today.
